Only now are women becoming aware of the ecological damage that disposable feminine hygiene products cause as well as trying to find an alternative to tampons which have a higher risk of TSS. Word of mouth and internet access has now begun to increase awareness of menstrual cups and the benefits of them, making them more and more popular.

How do I manage Silky Cup (reusable menstrual cup) at work or in a public restroom?

Although it’s recommended to rinse your Silky Cup (reusable menstrual cup) with water, when it’s not available it’s perfectly okay to empty it into the toilet and then simply wipe down with toilet paper or a use a disinfectant wipe (wait for the cup to dry before reinserting when using a wipe to prevent discomfort) and then reinsert. Another option is to bring a water bottle into the cubicle with you. However, if no water is available, the wipe down method is adequate until you have a chance to rinse it later. Most women find that they have to empty it so infrequently that having to empty it in public is a rare occurrence.
