Puberty is the transition from adolescent to an adult. During puberty, a female will start her menstruation cycle (period), have breast development, and may also notice growth of pubic hair. The first sign of puberty starting in females is the start of the menstruation cycle (period).

For females during puberty, they will develop breasts, grow pubic and arm hair, sometimes facial hair and body odor. Some females may also have widened hips and chest while developing from an adolescent to an adult. Puberty will generally last until 18 years old. By 18 years old a female will have developed her fully body size and not grow any taller.
